AR App, Concept & App Development: Planning terraces requires a high degree of imagination. LIGHTSHAPE has developed an AR visualization tool called seltravision for SELTRA Natursteinhandel GmbH. The AR app uses augmented reality to visualize the SELTRA flooring range on any surface. Customers are thus supported in planning and imagining the final result of the terrace.
AR Marketing, AR Collaboration & Future mobility concepts: We won an "XR Future" pitch of Mercedes-Benz AG with our concept and developed Augmented Reality prototypes. The task was to develop an AR application of an urban neighborhood overlaid with AR. Pedestrians, vehicles and much more, the application was made tangible through the interaction of mobility.
Is technology really ready now? Yes it is! Many experts say that the technology is mature. We wouldn't call it mature, but it is "good enough", it has reached a stage where you can work with it. We advise anyone who is serious about digitization to familiarize themselves with the technologies so that they can use them in a targeted and meaningful way.
A mixed reality simulator for caregivers with force feedback via exoskeleton. This blog post is about the research project "ExoHaptik:Pflegekraft". In the course of this, we want to address, among other things, the classic problems of virtual or mixed reality and show possible solutions.
VR Software, VR Exhibiton & VR Collaboration: LIGHTSHAPE has developed a virtual get-together platform for the Raumwelten. We brought the pavilion called "Lichtwolke", with our VR software HCC, virtually to life for the digital Raumwelten event in the courtyard of the Karlskaserne art center. Virtually, visitors were able to move around the grounds as well as inside the pavilion itself. Exhibits of the IBA'27 could be discovered by the visitors in the pavilion.
3D Animation, Product Visualization & Realfilm: For the pilot center of Porsche's new powertrain plant, we developed a film showing the new plant and the new all-electric powertrain of the Porsche Taycan. The film goes far beyond the presentation of the new production facilities, as the entire powertrain was to be shown in detail in a 3D visualization.
Training, employee training & maintenance in VR: Employee training on mold maintenance and servicing. Braunform GmbH specializes in injection molds. The assembly and disassembly process for cleaning and maintenance of the injection mold is very complex and involves many steps. In order to minimize errors and damage during the procedure, LIGHTSHAPE has developed a VR application that virtually trains them in a true-to-life work environment.
If you want to be a media company in the digital industry, you have to keep up with the times. At LIGHTSHAPE, we are therefore always on the lookout for innovative additions to our workflow in order to deliver the best possible quality as quickly as possible - and at a fair price.
Technical graphics & product visualization: for the official debut exhibition of the Porsche Taycan, we developed technical graphics, 3D animations and AR applications. These were furthermore used at the IAA (International Motor Show) 2019 in the opening press conference. The Taycan is a technological milestone for Porsche. We have created countless technical graphics for Porsche, a fully electric vehicle with its complex assemblies was also an exciting challenge for us.
"Lean Production" whose core consists of optimized production chains, continuous improvement processes and error minimization also have an impact on employee training, which must continue to develop with the same demands. Industry 4.0 focuses on process optimization through digitization, robots and automation. This is a subject area that consumes immense research funds and resources.
Interactive applications, whether AR on a smartphone or VR on a powerful computer, enable interaction and an emotional connection that cannot be achieved by simply watching movies or graphics. The user does not stand outside, but becomes a part of the experience by actively shaping it. They move and rotate products, change the paint job on their dream car, or unscrew virtual devices.
Augmented Reality (AR) applications are increasingly finding their way into our lives. Whether in the consumer segment or in business applications, with AR complex products and content can be presented and communicated in a clear and understandable way.
Rendering products is actually relatively simple, exempted on a white background. But if you want to display your product in a real environment or integrate other backgrounds, you will have to face unexpected costs, which you probably didn't expect at the beginning.
