3D Internet Virtual time machine Museumsinsel Schloss Gottdorf
LIGHTSHAPE and its partner C4 Berlin implemented a virtual time machine for the museum island Schloss Gottdorf. This can be called up online via the mobile browser as well as on the desktop. Through the time machine, interested visitors of the Mesum can virtually travel through different eras from the Roman imperial period to the time of change and modern museum history.
The time machine consists of 360° panoramas, these were provided with portals, which were animated enlarged when hovering. Clicking on a portal opens a content window with additional content such as image galleries, videos/animations, rotatable 3D data (WebGL) or search images for the respective time. In addition, the portals were backed with ambient sound.
