Virtuelle fairs and events Virtual Reality Event "Sunset Gathering"

The VR event "Sunset Gathering" provides an insight into our expertise in the areas of "Virtual Fair and Events". LIGHTSHAPE has developed the new Virtual Reality Event "Sunset Gathering" based on our own VR Software HCC (Holodeck Control Center). The goal of the new VR event was to create an innovative concept for virtual events with a simultaneous entertainment factor. The event should go beyond usual video conferences and create a realistic atmosphere in VR. The Sunset Gathering concept is based on parallel running discussion panels. In the expert panels, predefined topics and problems were discussed with each other and finally presented in a large group.

With the help of the HCC it was possible to participate from all over the world. The use of VR glasses is optional, which 80% of the participants did, 20% were present at the desktop. These users were also enthusiastic about the event atmosphere we were able to create with the application.

With the HCC, we have enabled a location-independent exchange in VR with several participants - multi-user and multi-location in combination - a technological world premiere. Non-technological users can follow the discussions via live streaming. The new format enabled participants to move freely in the virtual event world and to exchange with each other, as in reality, in groups or privately - emotionally and immersively.

The event format was first presented at the virtual XR Expo 2020. We wanted to bring the evening event into the digital world, which enables relaxed networking in a casual atmosphere. In previous years, the evening event of the XR Expo always took place on site in Stuttgart, so the scenery of the Sunset Gathering is also located in the heart of Stuttgart. The discussion platforms are located directly above the virtual Stuttgart central station of the future.
