Virtual Reality ÜBZO virtual assembly hall
LIGHTSHAPE has converted a real assembly hall into VR for the ÜBZO of BHS Corrugated. Based on the real assembly hall, a so-called digital twin was created. In the ÜBZO, BHS trainees learn and practice the basics of their training profession.
The virtual environment is used for training on the BHS machines. In the future, the VR environment at BHS can also be used for other company events, such as trade fairs or similar.

Our solution The digital twin
A digital twin is a digital representation of a product from the real world in the digital world. So for the ÜBZO, a virtual copy of the real assembly hall was developed in VR. For this purpose, our common tools for 3D model creation were used. In combination with our VR software HCC (Holodeck Control Center) a flexible multi-user VR learning environment was created. Visitors of the virtual assembly hall can be connected via VR glasses or on the desktop from anywhere in the world.
All visitors are then in the same virtual space and can take part in training sessions on BHS machines. The virtual assembly hall contains virtual screens that can be loaded with PDFs, images or videos as part of the training sessions. Visitors to the virtual assembly hall can control, operate and view these directly in VR.
