The usual testing of development projects wasn’t possible for this one, because the facade had only been set up with the banner with the measurements 65 x 10m at the beginning of the ITFS.
AR Application ITFS Wall of Animation
Technical Concept / Development
Development of an augmented reality game with a huge marker on the facade of the department store Breuninger for the International Festival of Animated Film in Stuttgart.
For the second time, the AR application for the Wall of Animation of the International Festival of Animated Film in Stuttgart (ITFS) has been created in collaboration with Lavalabs and the department store Breuninger.
The large facade design (65 x 10 m), which covers the facade of Breuninger at the market square of Stuttgart, was brought to life via an app. The facade was designed by the Swiss designer Michel Comte and was used as a marker to realize the various augmentation points.
The collaboration with Lavalabs and the department store Breuninger worked perfectly. Lavalabs developed, modeled and textured the 3D assets. Subsequently, the animations were constructed and forwarded to LIGHTSHAPE. Following this, we developed and programmed the augmented reality application according to the demands of Breuninger and the material supplied by Lavalabs.
The game was developed for Android and iOS and ran during FMX and ITFS.
