John Deere is a brand of Deere & Company, which is the world leader in agricultural machinery technology. For marketing purposes, they needed an animation explaining in detail the technology of the S790i combine harvester.
An exciting point of the implementation was the environment. It included, among other things, lanes and grain on the field, which behaved correctly during the mowing process and then remained as stubble.
The most important part was the technology of the combine harvester, which was a great challenge due to its complexity in animation. Inside the machine, the processing of the crop begins with the transport and various processing stages to literally separate the chaff from the wheat. This process was realistically simulated with several particle systems. At the end of the process, the wheat is temporarily stored in the machine and the chaff is spread out on the field again.
