Augmented Reality AR App Macan Sport exhaust system
Concept / App development / Content creation
The project is an example of AR training in sales, explaining how the Macan Sport exhaust system works. Temperature curves, flap control and exhaust gas flows.
The application was implemented with three different tracking methods. The client wanted to use this to test which method made the most sense for this case and offered the best user experience and learning outcomes.

Our solution AR in sales training
This project arose in connection with several projects that were intended to explore the possibilities of augmented reality in sales training. At the beginning there were workshops in which the technology and its variants were fundamentally explained. Subsequently, application scenarios were jointly developed. The ideas were evaluated for their feasibility and their added value that AR offers for the case.
As a pilot project, this AR app was created to explain the specifics of the Macan exhaust system. Temperature curves, exhaust gas flows, flap control in the tailpipes and their effect in the course of an acceleration, which can be controlled interactively with an "accelerator pedal".
The special feature of the app is that it provides all the tracking methods available at the time.
Object tracking - Using a model of the exhaust system
Marker tracking - With a picture of the exhaust system
Free tracking - free placement of the exhaust system on a surface
The app was presented to global training managers at a training event and a survey was conducted to determine what potential users saw in such an ar application.
All training managers said they would benefit from this app in their daily work as trainers. 94% would also use it as a sales tool in front of customers. Content and knowledge transfer were rated above average.
In summary, a very positive picture was given for the technology and form of knowledge transfer across 11 queried topics.
