First Porsche VR Experience and winner at the Automotive Brand Contest 2017 in the digital category
In november 2016, the Porsche VR Experience in the “Sound of Porsche Brand” popup store in Seoul, South Korea was presented to the public for the first time. The VR Experience makes it possible for customers to experience the new Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and its technologies. In terms of content, the application goes far beyond the usual: not only is it possible to configure colors and wheels, but customers can also experience important technical components in individual chapters.
The application can be controlled by an interface in the scene, which is operated by the user without a controller via gesture control. As an alternative, a presenter can operate all functions from the outside via an iPad.
The biggest challenge was to get the immense amounts of data into a high-performance application in a HTC Vive. Fitting to the special and visual experience, sounds were developed to make the immersion of the entire VR Experience even more realistic.
The feedback and the amount of visitors were overwhelming and without exception positive. The conceptual planning and content creation of the application were entirely done by us.
