LIGHTSHAPE has developed a VR training application for Level 1 of the Porsche Racing Experience for the Pico G2 4K VR goggles. With this VR application, each participant is optimally prepared for his first training in the training to become a racing driver. On our project page you can find more insights into the VR driver training process as well as behind the scenes impressions from the shoot.
LIGHTSHAPE has prepared the new airport station / Filderbahnhof for the virtual reality real-time application "The CAVE" in the Infoturm Stuttgart. In the interactive exhibition, visitors can teleport themselves through virtual camera flights to the new airport station and back to the main station.
LIGHTSHAPE has developed a digital twin of the real assembly hall in VR for BHS Corrugated's ÜBZO (Überbetriebliches Bildungszentrum in Ostbayern). The virtual assembly hall is used for the training of apprentices on the BHS machines. On our project page you can find more graphics and information about the digital twin.
LIGHTSHAPE has developed a virtual time machine for the museum island Schloss Gottdorf with its partner C4 Berlin. Through the online time machine, which consists of 360° panoramas, interested visitors of the Mesum can virtually travel through different eras. On our project page you can get a visual insight into the experience.
LIGHTSHAPE has created a virtual company tour for Braunform GmbH. In the current Corona times, on-site visits by customers are severely limited. To solve this problem, the idea was born to conduct company tours virtually with the help of 360° images. On our project page you can get an insight into the tour.
LIGHTSHAPE used the company's own VR software HCC (Holodeck Control Center) for its internal Christmas party last year. A festive virtual environment was created for this. There we reviewed the year 2019 and met virtually afterwards. On our project page you can get a visual insight into the virtual event.
Employee Training, Serious Game, Multiuser VR: Fire Extinguishing in VR. LIGHTSHAPE has developed a multi-user VR application for the Population Protection Mobile on the topic of firefighting for the Ministry of the Interior of Baden-Württemberg. Within the application, two interested parties can go through a fire extinguishing operation together in VR in a playful and harmless way. Would you like to learn more about the exact procedure of the simulation? On our website you can find more information and a video of the application.
VR Multi User Training for caregiver training: LIGHTSHAPE has developed a VR application with multi-user solution to support location-independent training of caregivers. This is based on LIGHTSHAPE's proprietary VR software HCC (Holodeck Control Center). For caregiver training, the ExoHaptik system, a multi-user mixed reality simulation with force feedback via an exoskeleton, is being developed. You can get a deeper insight in our Exohaptik movie on the project page.
VR Software, VR Exhibiton & VR Collaboration: LIGHTSHAPE has developed a virtual get-together platform for the Raumwelten. We brought the pavilion called "Lichtwolke", with our VR software HCC, virtually to life for the digital Raumwelten event in the courtyard of the Karlskaserne art center. Virtually, visitors were able to move around the grounds as well as inside the pavilion itself. Exhibits of the IBA'27 could be discovered by the visitors in the pavilion.
Training, employee training & maintenance in VR: Employee training on mold maintenance and servicing. Braunform GmbH specializes in injection molds. The assembly and disassembly process for cleaning and maintenance of the injection mold is very complex and involves many steps. In order to minimize errors and damage during the procedure, LIGHTSHAPE has developed a VR application that virtually trains them in a true-to-life work environment.
In the wake of the pandemic, XR Expo 2020 met the same fate as other events three and a half months before the event. The event in the originally planned framework had to be canceled.
"Lean Production" whose core consists of optimized production chains, continuous improvement processes and error minimization also have an impact on employee training, which must continue to develop with the same demands. Industry 4.0 focuses on process optimization through digitization, robots and automation. This is a subject area that consumes immense research funds and resources.
Interactive applications, whether AR on a smartphone or VR on a powerful computer, enable interaction and an emotional connection that cannot be achieved by simply watching movies or graphics. The user does not stand outside, but becomes a part of the experience by actively shaping it. They move and rotate products, change the paint job on their dream car, or unscrew virtual devices.
